Yuuki Kuroda, once hailed as the “most beautiful boy” in Japan, gained early fame as a child actor. Renowned for his roles in “No Longer Human,” “Under One Roof 2,” and “Second Spring’s Misfortune,” he captured the hearts of audiences across Japan.
Despite his on-screen success, Kuroda chose to step away from the limelight at the age of 28, transitioning to behind-the-scenes roles in the entertainment industry.
Turbulent Personal Life
Kuroda’s personal life has been far from stable. His first marriage in 2012 to singer Rui Nakamura ended within a year. His second marriage in July 2020 to Chizuru Tamai, a member of the underground idol group “Nyan7,” seemed hopeful initially as they welcomed a son.
However, the relationship soured, and in November 2023, Kuroda shocked his fans by questioning the paternity of his son on social media, which sparked widespread speculation and concern.
Divorce and Descent into Homelessness
By the end of 2023, Kuroda and Tamai were separated, and he revealed that they were undergoing divorce mediation. Kuroda expressed his reluctance to end the marriage, but his wife was determined to proceed. He had doubts about his son’s paternity since May 2020 when Tamai announced her pregnancy and pushed for marriage.
Despite his wishes to confirm paternity through DNA testing, the pandemic complicated their living arrangements, and no testing was conducted. With an unstable income and living situation, Kuroda found himself homeless after the divorce was finalized, as his wife refused alimony.

Life on the Move
Now 42, Kuroda has been without a home since November last year. He stays with relatives and friends, carrying a backpack with winter clothes. Despite suggestions to find regular employment, Kuroda earns a living by writing movie reviews and has started arranging stage performances, indicating some stabilization in his financial situation. However, he is still living with a friend near Kichijoji, Tokyo, as he works towards renting a place of his own.
