With strong support from their parents, the brothers participated in national competitions from middle school, demonstrating exceptional talent. In 2020, Takahashi became the first volleyball national team member born in the 21st century. In May 2021, he shone in a friendly match against China and continued to perform brilliantly in international competitions leading up to the Tokyo Olympics, securing his spot on the Olympic team.
