Ran Takahashi, the 22-year-old mixed-race volleyball player, gained immense popularity following his outstanding performance at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. He is set to challenge the 2024 Paris Olympics this month. With his handsome looks and impressive height of 188 cm, he has attracted a large fanbase, boasting 2.25 million followers on Instagram. On July 5th, Takahashi shared photos of his silver medal win at the Men’s Volleyball Nations League, garnering 50,000 likes in just half an hour, showcasing his incredible popularity.

On July 5th, Takahashi posted 10 photos on Instagram from the award ceremony of the Men’s Volleyball Nations League, including cheerful group photos with teammates Yūki Ishikawa and Yuji Nishida, and a picture of him with coach Brian. Born in Kyoto, Japan, in 2001, Ran Takahashi followed his older brother’s footsteps by joining the volleyball team in the second grade. He was captivated by the sport’s charm. With strong support from their parents, the brothers participated in national competitions from middle school, demonstrating exceptional talent. In 2020, Takahashi became the first volleyball national team member born in the 21st century.
