Japanese veteran manga artist Maya Miyazaki, known for her work “Kyoko Women’s Dormitory,” unexpectedly became the focus of public opinion recently after sharing several of her graffiti on social media.
These graffiti were created by her behind the restaurant menu while dining at a chain restaurant. However, this simple artistic expression has sparked intense controversy on the internet.

This viewpoint has gained support from many people, who have accused Miyazaki Maya of obstructing the possible consumption behavior of other customers and wasting paper. However, the cartoonist also actively responded to the questioning afterwards.
In response to criticism from netizens, Maya Miyazaki stated that her graffiti process only took about three minutes and emphasized that there were not many customers in the restaurant at the time, and they stayed there for about half an hour in total.
She further explained that the paper used was originally an order list that would be discarded due to damage.
