In June of this year, we shared a series of information about the Osaka Kansai Expo and Yokohama Gundam with everyone. The reason for linking these two is that ‘Yokohama Gundam’ is not a permanent exhibition project. Initially, when the official set up “GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA”, it was planned to be a limited time event only. Due to the enthusiastic response, the opening hours of the project have been extended for a period of time. However, the event will eventually come to an end and Gundam will also be dismantled.
However, friends who didn’t make it to this exhibition don’t have to worry, as the Yokohama Gundam will make a comeback at the upcoming “2025 Osaka Kansai World Expo”. This time, it will appear in the static display form of “RX-78F00/E”, slightly different from the original design, for viewing only and not movable.

In recent developments, we have learned that all components of Yokohama Gundam have been transferred to the World Expo venue and assembly has begun outside the exhibition hall. According to tradition, a blessing ceremony will be held before the assembly is completed. The installation ceremony of the Fukuoka RX-93ff Nu Gundam was also the same. This time, the Yokohama Gundam will be showcased in the form of the RX-78F00/E, with an overall height of 16.72 meters. Although it can only be used as a static display, its majestic posture is still impressive.

The Gundam displayed this time chose a semi kneeling posture, although some netizens have different evaluations of this posture, the full-size Gundam display still attracts attention. For friends who missed the Yokohama Gundam exhibition, the 2025 World Expo (running from April 13th to October 13th) is undoubtedly an opportunity to make up for their regrets. Don’t miss it again this time!
